Today we will be talking PID. PID is an infection of either the cervix, the endometrium, the fallopian tubes, or the ovaries.

Symptoms include:

โœ… lower abdomen or back pain

โœ… pain during sex or urination

โœ… abnormal periods or increased pain during periods

โœ… abnormal vaginal discharge, including bleeding after sex

โœ… fever, chills, nausea or vomiting

While treating with course of antibiotics is a recommended first step, what do you do when a patient who received treatment comes back and is still experiencing symptoms? Pudendal nerve irritation may be the cause. Find out more in this week's video!
